Enhancement Request: Merge Tag Management Page
Lyra Health requests an enhancement to improve visibility and management of merge tags within Responsive. They would like a dedicated page that lists all merge tags along with key information, including the tag’s name, display name, value, number of records in which it appears, and (if feasible) a link to those records.
Current Behavior
Currently, Responsive does not provide a centralized view of merge tag usage or associated values. Users must manually track merge tags and their values outside the platform, making it difficult to manage large-scale content libraries or ensure consistency across records.
Requested Enhancement
Develop a Merge Tag Management Page that includes the following functionality:
- A searchable and sortable list of all merge tags.
- Columns for:
- Merge Tag Name
- Display Name
- Merge Tag Value
- Number of Records Containing the Tag
- (Optional) Link or filter option to view those records
- Optional export capability for reporting or offline maintenance.
Business Impact
Lyra Health manages hundreds of active merge tags, with some records containing as many as 20 tags. Without centralized visibility into tag names, values, and usage, identifying redundant or outdated tags requires significant manual tracking outside Responsive.
Implementing this enhancement would:
- Provide a single source of truth for merge tag management.
- Reduce manual maintenance and administrative overhead.
- Improve data accuracy and consistency across responses and templates.
- Enhance scalability and maintainability as Lyra Health’s content library continues to grow.
Additional Notes
Lyra emphasized that having access to tag values alongside tag names and usage metrics would dramatically simplify their maintenance process and reduce reliance on external documentation.
