APIs - Functionality, Use cases, Setup...etc.

We are exploring the idea of leaning into APIs to assist us with items such as reporting. Curious to hear the following:

• How other clients went through this process
• What internal teams were needed? What was the level of involvement for these teams if applicable
• What other apps are leveraged with the RFPIO APIs
• Use cases that led you to utilize the API functionality

Typically clients will need to review RFPIO's API documentation with an IT resource on their side familiar with API rest calls. Together with their IT resources, they can match what they would like to do with the available API categories RFPIO offers. In some cases, the correct API URL is not available but RFPIO updates APIs regularly.

The client's IT internal teams will need to be heavily involved in the building of the API connections but will need the proposal team or business teams to help define what information they'd like to see.

Many clients use APIs to connect reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI for more robust reporting and dashboard creation. These tools are very powerful at slicing and dicing data for business needs, particularly trends, and changes over time.

Other use cases also include integrating with other tools that RFPIO does not yet have a prebuilt, out-of-the-box integration.
