Custom Role Access

Currently, FGS is asking if there is a way to only allow certain roles to visibility for RA to their projects only. Currently, with custom roles there is no capability to shut off visibility to only THEIR projects. They do not want to allow all users to see all matrices.

@Kristen Lupo Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Based on the information you have provided, the customer wants to restrict view access to certain matrices for users.

In the current functionality, if it is a Project-Linked Workspace in RA, it will be visible to the Team Member and Manager only when they are added into the corresponding linked Project. However, the Team Member and Manager with RA access will be able to view all the independent workspaces in their BU.

Admin with All Permissions will be able to view and edit all the project-linked and independent workspaces in their BU. At present we do not have the functionality to restrict view access on an individual workspace or matrix level, unless it is linked to a project.

Hope this helps. Does the customer consider the matrix-level restriction as a must-have requirement? It would be great if you could provide some deeper insight into what exactly they are looking for, so that we can get a clearer picture.

Thanks @ajay . After talking through this with the contact, they do think this would be a "must have" requirement. Reason being, even with custom roles, they will have several admins with that type of visibility but within different entities of the organizaiton. FGS holds four different companies under their belt in a single instance, and some of those materials are proprietary.

They currently love and are enthusiastic about using RA, but this could hinder their ability to gain additional buy in when they go live with their executive team. cc @Erica Nelson
