Restrict Custom Dropdown Fields to Projects Only

The client is requesting the ability to create a custom dropdown field specifically for use within the Q&A sections of projects, without the field appearing in the Content Library. The use case involves project reviewers selecting standardized feedback options ("No changes", "With minor enhancement", "Complete revamp") during the review process. Currently, assigning the custom field to Q&A applies it to both projects and the library, which is not ideal. The client would like to see the ability to restrict such fields exclusively to projects, particularly within Q&A, to maintain consistency in reviewer evaluations while avoiding clutter in the library.

Use Case:
When a response draft is flagged for review, reviewers should be able to select from a dropdown directly within each Q&A section with the following options:

• No changes
• With minor enhancement
• Complete revamp

This structured approach is intended to improve consistency in reviewer feedback and help teams continuously improve content. Using comments instead would result in unstructured input, reducing the usefulness of the review.

There are two ways we can do it

Option 1 - Using Drop Down answer Type

1. Manually add a drop down answer type for all the questions.
   1. Note: Ensure that the authors and reviewers are educated on why this drop down answer type field is for, so they don't assume that this will be included in the final proposal submitted
   2. Note: Have the response header such as "Internal Only" - So it can be excluded during export
   3. Note: To not to save this in Content Library, we can uncheck "Index" option

Option 2 - Using Project Notes

1. Create a Project Note with Drop-Down Type in Organization Settings
2. On need basis, the respective Project Note can be added to question in the answering page. The advantage over the above option is that comment field can also be added along with drop-down, so if any additional information can be keyed in.
