Need clarification on review dates

Hi, this is my company's first full QA review for the library. I saw in another post here that the QA pair due date is actually the start and the end date in one. So if I want my library review to start on FEb 18 I put feb 18 for the QA pairs to start review? I want them to have until 5/20 to finish the review as some of them have large portions of QA to review. Then I just monitor when people finish and close them to see what's overdue? Please confirm this as its not very clear how that all works.

Yes, if you want them to be done reviewing by 5/20, I'd set the next review date for 5/20 and it won't be considered past due until then. If you set the task to 92 days, the content will be up for review starting on 2/18 (assuming that's 92 days from 5/20). And then yes, the items will be available in the 'Review' tab of the library.

Hello!

Are you doing an on demand review, or scheduled review? If scheduled, then as I understand, the due date is the actual date you wanted it completed by. In our Org Settings, we have the task creation date set to 21 days. So for something due today, 2/14, the system would have made the review task for the content owner and the item(s) would have appeared in their My Work page 3 weeks ago. Then today, 2/14 the due date, the item is considered overdue.

NO, this is not an on demand review this is the first library review on a regular scheudle. So then if I want the review to happen on 2/18 I can set the next review date to be 5/20 which is how long I want to give people to review QA as some have very large amounts then I can set the task to 92 days and it will send the notification on 2/18 and the system won't bother then until 5/20? Is that correct? Then the system will send notifications on Feb 18 and the library will be put into the review que on that day also.

You're welcome, glad it was helpful! Something else we do is go to the Review queue, select all owners, click on that little bell icon, and that allows you to send a mass message out to them.

I do this every Friday and ask our content owners to take a few minutes are review their content that is up for review. This seems to help keep people on track and doing it only once a week keeps the notification fatigue at bay for our users.
