Notify content creators the results of moderation decisions

Create an additional "Reason" field - not simply comments for communicating why content was accepted or rejected when reviewing in Moderation. This also will allow for insight into training support for content creators around content that is being submitted but not accepted into the library - for example, if content frequently does not answer the question asked or the question fully. Current behaviour of Rejection from Moderation results in the content going to Trash. This is not efficient for managing large volume of moderation. If there is ability to Reject and send back to the creator to edit, it would be a better flow and will provide feedback loop to the creator what needs to be corrected.

@Gosia Rios - We will consider this idea in the future.

What can be implemented - When they Reject the answers from the Moderation queue, there should be reason field to add comments along with the option to reassign to owners or to move into trash.

This is scheduled for May release. If it is implemented before that, we will keep you updated. This is a minor enhancement to the existing functionality. It will not be in the beta phase.

Here is the scope -
we plan to ask the user to submit a reason for rejection in moderation before it is sent to Trash. In trash, they can look into the reasons and decide whether or not to revert back to moderation. The reason while rejected will be sent to owners as notification.
Note: If the content gets rejected, we are not going to send it back to the library, as this will break the moderation flow.

@karthikumar , Thank you for sharing the details. Will there be reporting available for this field? Nuveen would want to learn more about the Rejection reasons over time to improve training.

@Gosia Rios - Reason field is generic text box. They can type any reasons for it. Are they expecting drop down field for it?

@manjula , I brought the below via Slack already and now noting here for records purposes.

The way this was implemented is not satisfactory for Nuveen. Currently the Rejection message with the reason goes to all owners listed on the Q&A pair. Nuveen would like to see the message to go only to the person who last reviewed the Q&A pair. Can you please advise if we are planning a further development for this feature given this requirement.
