Page Count Inside of the Project Workflow

Straight from the Customer:

"Majority of our proposals have page count limits for the different volumes.

For example:

Technical Volume can only be 10 pages long with Arial size 10 font.
Each Past Performance can only be 2 pages long

We break apart the sections into questions and answers. We would like to be able to see as we set up sections within a proposal, where we are with page count. Right now our writers are just writing and even if we say 1 page, that requires them to copy paste into word, which most don’t do as they are supposed to be using the tool.

So having a feature to tell us page counts per section would be great."

@Khalees V - I have another customer who feels very strongly about the need for page count limitations functionality in Responsive.

Super Admin at Center for Sustainable Energy says she's been in the industry for over 15 years and at least half of the RFPs she works on set page count limitations for submissions.

She's a bit impatient about this and frustrated that we don't have it already. I'm doing my best to manage.

Can you please provide me any kind of ETA that I can share with her?

@Khalees V Simeio Solutions are dealing with a major pain point with page count. They have to constantly go back to preview the RFP when answering questions to confirm that they did not exceed the page count limitations. Please let us know the status of this feature request or a better work around so I can share this with Simeio

My client has never expressed the need to automatically restrict authors from adding more response once the page limit is reached, but that sounds reasonable. I'll try to find out.

I am keen to discover more on this. @Zach @Renee Underwood @Nicole Stanford If you can share specific configurations from customer with real examples, we can look into this in near future depending on the complexity.

Scope: Show page count in the section wise preview popup. This is an interim solution. In future, we will be enhancing it further where admins can set the page count limit section wise.

Hi @Khalees V Honeywell has also expressed that this would be valuable to them. They face page number limits on a section level. They would like to have a way in the platform to see the page count in the context of the template being leveraged for the response.

Possible alternative solution discussed on call: Being able to preview individual sections in a selected template (not the entire document). Here, within the preview flow they can select the template and view the page count of that section alone within the context of the chosen template.
