Project Intake Fields & Reporting - Contact Email Fields

Currently, we have two users (Tara and I) managing projects. As such, we have entered both of our names into the "Responsive Project Manager" field. However, since this is a contact email field, when running reports, only the first name provided will populate in reports. This is causing difficulties when creating custom reports and trying to obtain accurate data, as I cannot filter by our either one of our names and obtain all the projects we have managed. If my name is entered first, and we filter by Tara's name, projects will be missing and vice versa. All names entered into the fields should populate; or, at a minimum, if filtering by one of the names, all results should populate. Happy to discuss this further. This S4 was also prompted by a support ticket (54480: https://help.responsive.io/hc/en-us/requests/54480). Images from the support ticket have been attached.

Hi @Khalees V! Do you have an ETA with this item? I am trying to search for projects that I managed during a specific period of time, but nothing populates for me. However, since Tara's Name is listed first in the field, if I search by her name, items populate. However, not all items that she has touched are projects that I managed, so this is causing issues.

@Khalees V It's also important to note that we also partner with Priya on items too. When that happens, the three of us are listed as the project lead, as she is the lead from the security side. So that means she also cannot filter to the projects where she's partnered with us for completion.

@Samantha Gitman As a workaround until we migrate additional primary contact to Primary contact, can you use the below workaround by adding "Additonal Project Contact" field to the report and filtering by that?

This will solve your problem until we merge both the fields into one.

@Khalees V I would be happy to use that as a workaround, but I do not have that field available. The only option I have is "Additional Contacts," but that is an empty field with no content. Please see the image below of what's available to me:

@Samantha Gitman I will check and get back to you why you are not able to filter using Additional primary contact.

Here is another workaround - Filtering by Project Primary Contact will also search for projects in the "Additional Project contact" as shown in the below screenshot. Can you please check if this meets your need as a workaround?

Hi @Khalees V! I do not have "Project Primary Contact" available. We have named this field "Responsive Project Manager," so that's what's available and it will only allow me to search for Tara (her name is the first name in the field followed by mine and then Priya's, when applicable.) Therefore, unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a workaround that I can use.

@Samantha Gitman Got it. I will again talk to the team to see if we can merge the Primary Contact and Additional Primary Contact fields in backend/DB - So,

all the primary contacts are shown under the same field Ex: Manage Project Page and Custom Reports
Reporting will also be easy by using filter on one field Ex: Custom Reports

I will update you on the ETA
