Exporting to Source File

Any one else having trouble exporting to source file? My last project created a separate source file and response file upon export. I need the doc to be in it's original format for the client.

(Exporting to the source will extract your responses from Responsive and plug them back into the original document. This is best for most solicited questionnaires, especially if the issuer requires the document to be returned in its original format.)

Hi @Michelle! I've seen this happen - 2 files exported - when questions or sections were manually added to the Project. Such as: We have an Excel RFP file, and we added a manual section for a Cover Letter. The Cover Letter will export as a separate file, into the Default Word template or another template that you select. Another example: The client issued an amendment, with a new requirement. We didn't want to re-import the RFP questionnaire, so we added question "1" to Section X. Upon export, we'll get the original source file with all its original questions, plus a separate file with just Section X, Question 1. Does this provide any insight on your workflow?

Hi @AuroraNichols2! I have only mapped one time and nothing was added or deleted from the original import project doc. Upon export, I select source file for the initial question and then from there it exports out two files, one in PDF that is my source file and another in .docx with my responses. I can copy paste the responses in to the original PDF but I thought Responsive was supposed to handle this easily.

Any other ideas? I have an open ticket on this but it's been almost a week with no answers.

I haven't been too thrilled with the amount of formatting I have to do upon exporting to an excel file. The rows get scrunched and I have to adjust in order to read all of the text. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a solution to this?
