From Esko:
Why when a section is ‘re-opened’ does it clear the ‘reviewed’ status from ALL answered and reviewed questions within the section?
This is a new reason why we need to re-open a closed section, when you have clicked on the ‘flag’ status at question level, if you Complete a section, the flag is still checked, but not seen at the expanded question level, so it’s not possible to uncheck the flag unless you Re-Open the Section. When you re-open the section, you lose all of the reviewed status for ALL questions in the section.
Please discuss with R&D and Product again – we need to be able to re-open a section and retain all of its Answered and Reviewed status (unless we choose to edit further at the question level). Why? There are many examples where we need to re-open a completed section, eg. to correct a mistake. We should NOT have to manually re-review ALL questions inside the sections once re-opened. This is just mindless re-work for the sake of it, due to the way the seoftware is designed.
Like always, to not disturb existing customers who like the current functionality, I suggest for you to just add a preference at the system or project-level, to allow the re-open of a section without clearing the ‘answered’ and ‘reviewed’ status for each question within (unless a user chooses to go into a question and make specific changes).
Example…
Section closed but a question still has a ‘flag’ status (due to human error)
Zoom into individual question, it is not possible to see the ‘flag’ status (of the completed section)????
Have to re-poen the closed section to see the ‘flag’ status, to be able to clear it??
Only when re-opened can the user ‘see’ the ‘flag’!!
Now the flag can be cleared for this question, but ALL questions in the re-opened section need to be re-reviewed (as their ‘reviewed’ status was cleared when the section was re-opened!!!
We see this issue as a ‘critical’ wish. The current functionality in RFPIO impedes our ability to efficiently re-open and correct any identified author or reviewer mistakes in a previously closed/completed section.
