Problem: QA Pair with Same Question, different Answer, different properties (collection, solution, product, owner, tags etc.) – we need an option to ‘Skip’ or ‘Ignore’ Duplicate so that it is not showing up in the Duplicate Report.
Description: We want to be able to run a Duplicate report and tag or define some of the found duplicates as non-duplicates therefor ‘skipping’ or ‘ignoring’ them from the report and from any further deduplicate efforts. We have quite a few QA pairs with the same question, but with different answers based on different products we offer. Each pair is typically having different tags, custom-fields, and owners. Applying the ‘alternate answer’ to the primary question will not help as we need the pairs to be separate in the library to be owned and reviewed independently. It’s not good practise for us to have multiple owners/reviewers for a pair and we need to be able to provide an update and possibly different response for each product’s pair independently. Therefor it’s just easier to manage them as separate pairs (even though they have the same question). So we don’t want to have such pairs called up as a duplicate in the Duplicate Report. We want to be able to mark them as non-duplicates so that they don’t appear in the Duplicate Report.
Note: I see a few other requests for this topic on the RFPIO Idea portal – so clearly it’s an issue for other RFPIO users too.
FYI: Loopio has this ability, when reviewing and cleaning up duplicates… you have an option to apply ‘Ignore Duplicate’ to any identified pair and it is then skipped from the report in future.
