Change the description formatting to not be the same as the answer text.

Hi, I hope someone can help me here. We take the customers RFP and usually copy paste it into our template. We are hoping to streamline that process with RFPIO and using the styles in our template. We are being told that the the font color for the description text defaults to whatever the answer style is in RFPIO which is not what we want. We need the customers rfp content the non questions to be the same style font color as the actual questions not the answers. Can anyone please let me know if this is indeed how it works or if it can be changed, or we need a feature request for this. We can't be the only people that do this so wondering how others deal with this issue.

I think I understand what you are asking, and you can absolutely do this with the template you are exporting to. They just had a Templates webinar/coffee chat that went a bit into the details of this. Everything has to be set up correctly for it to work, and (because of the way Microsoft Word works) it has to be precise for it to work correctly. @Helene - Is this correct? Can you provide the recording link on the Templates for Roger?

@Roger Bedore Are you referring to the Description text? So, when you import a file and mark certain text as a Description, then when you export to your template, the text you had marked in RFPIO as description displays as the answer style you have in RFPIO?

If so, we also have that issue. We have our question and answer fonts, section, s1, s2, etc. all exporting how we want but we are hung up on the Description text. We'd like the description text to be the same font as we use for RFP questions. I also need to watch the Templates webinar.

Hi @Roger Bedore & @Sarah Biskup my suggestion would be to use the "Application Family Font and Size" within RFPIO so you can specify different fonts for description and answers. Within the templates page - select the template you want to edit - scroll down to Answer - select Application Family Font and Size. Let me know if you need a video recording!

Hi, with all the recent changes in Responsive since I posted this in June I am wondering if there is now a way to do to what I posted as currently we still do not see a way to make what we mark as description text in the customers original come out in black and the answer text come out blue even though we are using custom font and color for the answer text. So the question really becomes it looks like whatever you mark as description in the intake of the customer doc takes on the characteristics of whatever the response font and color are. If that is the case how can that be changed? There is no specific setting that says " make description text the same as " it defaults to whatever the response text is, which is not what we want.
