Hi Team,
With the latest release, auto-import is no longer an option, but begins to map documents automatically. I have run into an issue (with Illumina specifically), but I think it will come up with other customers. The auto-import will apply mappings that may not be correct, especially when the file is not a standard template like a SIG, and have to be cleared for the right mapping to be applied. In the specific example, a column was mapped as an answer when it really should have been mapped as a label.
My concern with this is that for users who may inherit systems (like Illumina) without official training or who are learning the system, they may take the auto-import as truth when they encounter it. This will lead to customers who then are dealing with frustrating imports and exports because they didn't know they should verify the auto-import mappings. I understand that we can tell customers to review the auto mappings, but it would be nice if it were more obvious. It would be nice if once something has been auto mapped, a notification pops up that says "This was automapped based on X (either AI or because RFPIO identified it as a SIG/CAIQ/etc.) please verify the mappings." And users have to acknowledge this notification to begin manually mapping or import.
The particular example I was working with was very frustrating because auto-import identified the answers but not the questions so when you hit import (if you didn't look) nothing came through. See file attached for testing.

Additional to this, the Auto-Import does not make for a great sales experience.
Previously, with the warning, the prospect would see that we could Auto-Identify all of the sections and Questions, etc, but I would still ignore it and walk them through manually because a large part of the demo is ensuring they understand what is happening at that page- it is the foundation of their Response. A big differentiator for us is identifying the dropdowns and other specifics of the answer fields, so just to demo that requires clearing the columns, and re-marking.
What I am experiencing now is that If I click "Clear and Proceed" it is not clearing any of the auto-imported info, but rather just clearing any changes I may have made and reverting back to the original auto-import.

Randstad USA is facing the same problem. They've requested to make the Auto-Configuration feature optional as they feel it is forced and they want to do the configuration manually.
