Problem / Need:
Currently, users can only see which vendor is leading or has the highest overall score after all scoring has been completed. During the scoring phase, admins and evaluators have no visibility into how vendors are performing in real time. This limits transparency and makes it difficult to monitor progress or identify potential scoring inconsistencies early.
Impact:
Without visibility into in-progress scoring, teams:
- Can’t identify which vendors are trending as top performers until the process is finished.
- Struggle to ensure scoring is balanced or consistent across evaluators.
- Miss opportunities to intervene early if there are major scoring discrepancies or incomplete evaluations.
- Spend more time post-scoring analyzing and reconciling results that could have been monitored throughout the process.
Proposed Solution:
Introduce a real-time “Vendor Leaderboard” or “Scoring Progress Dashboard” that shows how vendors rank as evaluators submit their scores.
Key features could include:
- Dynamic leaderboard showing current vendor rankings as scores are entered.
- Filters by section, category, or evaluator group to see where each vendor excels or lags.
- Progress indicators for partially completed scoring rounds (e.g., “70% scored, Vendor A currently leading”).
- Permissions controls to ensure only admins or designated users can view interim rankings.
Value / Benefits:
- Enables admins and stakeholders to track evaluation trends as they develop.
- Reduces surprises at the end of the scoring phase.
- Promotes data-driven discussions and early quality assurance.
- Enhances engagement and accountability among evaluators.
