Translation Add-On pricing "per package"

We're looking into purchasing the Translation Add-On, but I don't fully understand the pricing "per package". What is a "package"? if we were to purchase the 2 million character count package. does that mean:

• Can we use translation on any number of projects that don't exceed 2 million characters?
• If a project exceeds 2 million characters can you still translate part of the project?
• Or is it that once we have translated multiple projects that accumulated reach 2 million characters, that is the package?
• How would we know what "package" to purchase if we don't now how many characters a project on average contains
• Does the character count include both the characters of the question and our response?
• Can all users use the translation features?

• Can we use translation on any number of projects that don't exceed 2 million characters?
  • You have a total of 2 million charters to use across multiple projects…example: if project A has a total of 500k character, then you have 1.5 million character still available…if project B has a total of 400k characters then you have used a total of 900k characters and still have 1.1 million characters available.
• If a project exceeds 2 million characters can you still translate part of the project?
  • Yes, your project will be partially translated. Example: if you have a project that is 3 million characters, and you purchased a package of 2 million characters and used those 2 million characters on your projects, then you would have 2 million characters translated with a remaining 1 million characters not translated… or you can purchase another package of 2 million characters.
• Or is it that once we have translated multiple projects that accumulated reach 2 million characters, that is the package?
  • Correct. The 2 million character package can be used across multiple projects, but once you reach your 2 million character limit you will need to purchase another package.
• How would we know what "package" to purchase if we don't now how many characters a project on average contains
  • It's impossible to know the 'average' character length of any project as all projects vary in size, complexity, required details and any myriad of other influences that will dictate a project character length. There are some software like Google Docs and Microsoft word that can perform a character count for a file. If the complete project is in the file, then you might get a good estimate on a project character count. Do that for several files and you get an average character count across those projects.
• Does the character count include both the characters of the question and our response?
  • Yes
• Can all users use the translation features?
  • No, the translation feature is an add-on and must be enabled prior to use. It is subscription-based and may not be available for all users. Users must contact the Customer Success Team or their account manager to enable it.
