Recently on a call I was asked what is the difference between using the comments section and requesting a clarification in the project workflow. What option would be better to use?
The comments section is for internal dialogue among team members. On the other hand, clarifications are used to gain more information externally from the issuer of your project. Hope that clears things up!
Another nifty trick with clarifications is you can export them and send them back to the issuer for Q&A periods! This way, Proposal Team Members don't have to wonder who has already asked what - they have visibility to everyone else's inquiries! The Proposal Manager will have them all in one place, instead of consolidating everyone's questions that came in through multiple forums (email/slack/teams/etc.)Really helps collaboration and visibility for the whole team.
Two great courses from RFPIO University:
-Collabration and Review: learn all about using comments while working on projects!
-Clarifications: learn the what, when, and how of using clarifications!
