Automated full content library backup capabilities

MongoDb has done an internal audit and identified our platform as a security red flag due to our inability to allow frequent full content library backups to external servers. While they have the API integration and are working on building a log, they can only pull 50 records at at time. With 10,000 records, concatenating these files is a ton of manual work.

In order to make this process more seamless, they are looking for us to include the option to host regular automated (time variation customizable based on needs) from our platform into an external source.

Other companies such as Juniper and Okta could benefit from this as well as they've run into similar struggles.

Hi Marcea,

Thanks for submitting this idea. We can have the option to let users to automatically schedule a backup in our application so that they can automate backups on the scheduled interval. We will discuss this internally and consider this enhancement in the future.

@herthik @Bagavathy Nagarajan - Okta has come to us with the same request to expose an API endpoint that allows for full content library backup, similar to the manual backup experience within the UI. They are trying to back-up data specifically to Zapier. They are currently using the API, but have this to say about the back-up experience: "We do have a backup process in place using this, but this process is very complex and hard to maintain since our library is very large, and we have to go through many iterations to get each collection backed up. The bigger problem we are facing now is trying to move this process to Zapier, and Zapier itself is not as good when it comes to managing such large API calls. This has presented a very big challenge for us."
