Re-importing new answers

Hello,

We have recently completed an RFP response and as part of the process we took our exported answers, which are on word & excel, did a full copy/edit and made some additional changes. I now want to re-import these most up to date and correct answers. How can I do this without changing the history data such the authors and reviewers? Many thanks for your help.

Hi Nikki,

Everytime we update any part of a Q&A pair, RFPIO records:

who did the update,

when it was updated,

what was changed (displays both the previous and updated version).

We can access all the above from the Q&A's Activities menu.

So, from that point of view, I don't see how it could be done without altering history, which means that actions will be shown on the Q&A pair's Activities Window.

One idea might be to import the updated content. RFPIO should identify it as duplicate. You could then use the "Content Cleaner" new feature to merge the changes, keeping Owners and Moderators as is.

In my perspective, allowing your users to see the history of the updates is a great way to build trust that they are using the most recent material.
