I'm worried we may lose functionality. Is there anything you can't do in the new UI still, or has it all migrated over?
@Tiffany Ramos You shouldn't lose any functionality!
If you're looking for a feature/button that you think may be have been removed it's most likely moved to a more intuitive location. If you're really searching and you still can't find it then just let your account team know and we'll help you locate it.
But definitely go ahead and make the switch!
Sweet! Thanks, @Al. I'm going to work on doing this after Easter Break. First, we rest.
@Tiffany Ramos I would also add that a lot of new and exciting enhancements/releases will only be available in the new UIX!
Once your team is ready to make the switch, I would recommend the super admin remove the option to toggle to the new UIX to increase adoption. They can do so by navigating to Organization Settings - Company - Company Information - User Interface Settings. They will then uncheck the boxes allowing users to toggle the previous UIX to the new UIX. See screenshot below!
Thank you, @helene@rfpio.com! That's exactly what I want to do. I think I am going to give them until Cinco de Mayo and give them a cute reason for switching over.
Hi @Tiffany Ramos we are hosting a webinar on June 23rd to walk customers through the new UI. Looking forward to seeing you there.
I personally prefer the new UI! Luckily, only a handful of us are in RFPIO every day and we're rolling out some new RFP training for everyone that will all be based on the new UI. I didn't have any issues when switching to the new UI at all.
Hi, @Tiffany Ramos - here are some great new UI courses from RFPIO University that will help with the switch:
-Project Management
-Content Management
-Getting Started
-Administration
@Beth_B removed the toggle option for our company. LOL! We LOVE the new UI! (I was using it LONG before the toggle was turned off.)
Regarding switching your org to the new UI - did anyone follow any Change Management (specifically like ADKAR approch) techniques to get and keep people in the new UI? Obviously turning off the old UI gives users no choice but to venture boldy into the new experience; however, looking for stories about what worked for helping the new UI experience.
What worked well in terms of ramping up user knowledge and adoption of the new UI? Live Demos? video leave behinds, pointing them to RFPIO's user docs? etc?
Did anyone try a way to reinforce users coming back to RFPIO and using the new UI (as opposed to copying/downloading content and relying on that to avoid new UI?)
@Lisa Duplessie We discuss your questions in our latest coffee chat you can view below!
In June, we turned off the button for the transition to the old UI.
I have been using the New UI since March. I believe the new UI is now safe to roll out to all users.
I'm expecting to see more new features in the future. Rearrange the order of the response fields inside a section in bulk, for example.Â
Hi Tiffany,
After a few months of the new UI release, we were encouraging our users to use the new UI only. Once Project Settings were available, we made it a requirement. We thought it was important to have the users make the switch early on as we knew the old UI will eventually go away and we didn't want there to be any confusion.
As of about 2 months ago I think, we switched it to be the default for our entire org, and we've had no complaints. As mentioned above, there have been updates made in recent releases that are only available in the new UI, so it's definitely worthwhile.
